The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), has provided Initial Accreditation for Aventura Hospital and Medical Center to start the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program on July 1, 2017. Kristina Siddall, MD will lead the new residency as the Program Director. The program will have five residents each year.
PULMONARY DISEASE FELLOWSHIP APPROVED

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), has provided Initial Accreditation for Aventura Hospital and Medical Center to start the Pulmonary Disease Fellowship July 1, 2017. Gustavo Ferrer, MD will lead the new fellowship as the Program Director. The program will have three fellows each year.

Thank you for your interest in Aventura Hospital and Regional Medical Center’s (AHMC) Graduate Medical Education programs. It is our goal to provide residents with outstanding clinical training and didactic educational experiences to produce the highest quality physicians possible. Our dynamic environment provides residents the opportunities to be exposed to a wide variety of clinical encounters across the lifespan. We currently have three ACGME accredited programs – Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine and Transitional Year. AHMC is also an integrated site with Kendall Regional Medical Center for their Anesthesiology and General Surgery residency programs. We also have a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency accredited by the CPME

The educational environment will foster professional and personal development of resident programs, appropriate guidance, supervision and mentoring of all residents.
