Tobacco-free policy

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is a tobacco-free campus.

Going tobacco-free

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is devoted to providing our staff, patients and guests with the best environment for healing. For that reason, we are a tobacco-free campus.

The negative effects of tobacco are well documented. According to the CDC, tobacco use, including cigarettes and the various forms of smokeless tobacco, have led to more deaths than human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle accidents and acts of violence combined. The commitment to you, our staff and community is to create an environment that is tobacco-free for all.

Our campus, including the main hospital, garages, the Comprehensive Cancer Center and our medical office buildings are tobacco-free. If you are interested in becoming tobacco-free, our staff will be more than happy to provide you with information on our smoking cessation classes and materials to help you in your personal journey. Should you need direction to materials, feel free to contact your nurse, unit charge nurse or unit director.
