Community Yard Sale

Aventura Hospital and Medical Center Hosts Community Yard Sale

October 15, 2010, Aventura, FL – The Aventura Circle is a hospital-wide charitable effort on the part of the Aventura Hospital and Medical Center (AHMC) staff to help those less fortunate in our community. The title “Circle” serves as an acronym for the team’s motto: Community Involvement Requires Concerned Loving Employees. Each month, the Aventura Circle donates supplies and raises funds for local non-for-profit organizations that benefit poor, needy and homeless residents of all age in Dade County.

On Saturday, October 23, 2010, from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Aventura Circle will be hosting a large community yard sale to benefit HCA Healthcare’s Hope Fund initiative, an employee-run, employee-supported charity founded to provide emergency support to HCA employees and their immediate families who have been affected by hardships such as natural disasters and extended illnesses or injuries. The HCA Hope Fund has provided more than $10.5 million in financial support to employees across the United States since its inception five years ago. At AHMC alone, more than 110 employees have received emergency financial assistance from the HCA Hope Fund, totaling more than $80,000.
