Application Process

Application Process:

The application process for residency can daunting but highly rewarding, especially if you match with us at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. We like to see applications as soon as possible after ERAS opens. USMLE/COMLEX scores, medical school transcripts, and letters of recommendation are the most important pieces of information needed early in the application process. Please ensure all of your information is correct and current.

Aventura Hospital and Medical Center participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and only accepts electronic applications through ERAS -ACGME ID: 1101100196. .

All materials should be forwarded via ERAS

Please do not fax, email or mail applications, they will not be reviewed!

Your completed file should include the following documents:

  • ERAS Residency Application
  • Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
  • Three Letters of Recommendation
  • Official Medical School Transcript
  • Official USMLE Transcript Step 1 and Step 2 (when available) OR
  • Official COMLEX Transcript Step 1 and Step 2 (when available)
  • Curriculum Vitae and Personal Statement

Deadline for receipt of all required documents is November 1st.

Interviews will be scheduled by invitation after the application file is reviewed by the Program Directors. As a reminder - your examination scores are not automatically distributed by the deans office. Please ensure that you request your scores to be sent with your application materials. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
