Dr. Attaran is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. A United Kingdom native, he trained in some of the UK's premier hospitals before moving to the USA. Dr. Attaran graduated in the top 5% of his class from the University of Sheffield.
After moving to the United States in 2004, Dr. Attaran received his internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine training in Arizona. He won the award for best resident on the coronary care unit. He was also chief cardiology fellow at the University of Arizona. He attended Yale University for his interventional cardiology fellowship, receiving extensive training in coronary and peripheral vascular procedures.
Dr. Attaran has authored many published scientific papers in cardiovascular medicine and participated in several multi-center trials. He has contributed to several books and book chapters in medicine and cardiology. He currently reviews for several journals and publishers.
He is an active member the ASPCA & Doctors Without Borders, he is also a donor. His interests include interventional cardiology; coronary and peripheral vascular interventions; arterial and venous interventions.
