Community Partnerships
Ambassador Program:
The Ambassador Program at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is a direct link to the community. Chosen for their enthusiasm for medicine and their compassion for their community, Ambassadors represent various communities and meet regularly to learn about updates at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. As a result, our Ambassadors are knowledgeable and can answer questions regarding the hospital from new physicians on staff to the latest in diagnostic equipment.
The Ambassador provides updates to their community and serves a liaison between the Hospital and their neighbors. When a family member, friend or neighbor falls ill, Ambassadors notify the hospital representative to facilitate a smooth admission, helps make the patient more comfortable and offers a bridge of communication between the patient and our expert team.
Jerry Cohen, chair of the Ambassador Program leads more than 80 active Ambassadors representing 48 communities in our area. If you are interested in receiving more information about the Ambassador Program, please call (305) 682-7391.
Patient and Family Advisory Council:
Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is constantly striving to improve patient experiences and outcomes, and the Patient and Family Advisory Council was formed for this reason. Comprised of former patients or the loved one of a patient, the Patient and Family Advisory Council provides leadership with valuable feedback about experiences at the hospital. Their insight has had a direct result in patient care and procedure in the hospital.
If you are interested in receiving more information about the Patient and Family Advisory Council, please call (305) 682-7161.
Employee Advisory Group and Aventura CIRCLE:

The Employee Advisory Group (EAG) is comprised of volunteer staff members at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center with the goal of providing a voice for the employees with the goal of improving the working environment for all members of the hospital.
In recent years, the EAG created an ongoing charitable program called Community Involvement Requires Concerned and Loving Employees (CIRCLE). The Aventura CIRCLE hosts various drives each month ranging from yard sales to blood drives. To date, the group has donated to Toys for Tots, participated in the Haiti Relief Fund for victims of the devastating earthquake, and held a food drive for Stop Hunger, Inc.
