Aventura, Florida – Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is proud to announce that its Outpatient Rehabilitation Center has officially moved to the hospital’s main campus at 20900 Biscayne Boulevard in Aventura. As of April 12, 2010, the Outpatient Rehabilitation Center now resides on the 5th Floor of Aventura Hospital’s South Tower. The move from its original location along Hallandale Beach Boulevard to the main campus will prove beneficial to patients and staff members as they will now have access to a significantly larger and more state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, complete with a brand new gymnasium.
“We are pleased to be right here on campus,” commented Holly Tirrell, Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, “We have significantly more specialty treatment rooms and a much larger gymnasium for physical and occupational therapy. We have also received overwhelming support from our patients. They recognize the benefits of this move and some have even generously donated equipment to help furnish our new space.”
The Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is comprised of a specially trained staff that provides a unique rehabilitation setting by offering a variety of services in one location, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Lymphadema, and Hand Therapy. As a department located within Aventura Hospital, the Outpatient Rehabilitation Center has the ability to work closely with the hospital care team and discharge planners in order to provide a thorough continuum of care from inpatient to outpatient.
