August 2010, Aventura, FL – The caring staff at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center proudly continued their hospital-wide efforts to give back to the community during the summer months.
On Friday, August 27th, the Aventura Circle (Community-Involvement-Requires-Concerned-Loving-Employees) generously donated dozens of boxes filled with school supplies to The Education Fund, a foundation dedicated to engaging the entire community in making educational excellence a top priority and ensuring that every child learns and succeeds in the Miami-Dade County public schools.
Since 1985, The Education Fund has worked side-by-side with the private sector to direct resources where they are needed most in Miami-Dade County schools. By partnering with The Education Fund, Aventura Hospital and Medical Center will play a key role in assisting more than 390 schools, 22,000 teachers and approximately 340,000 students in Miami-Dade County’s public schools.
“The caring staff members at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center are dedicated not just to improving the lives of our patients but also to improving our community,” said Heather J. Rohan, Chief Executive Officer at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center. “The Aventura Circle was established as a way for us to give back to our community.”
